I don’t take or have faith in many supplements due to the fact they aren’t regulated and you never know what you’re going to get. On that note let food be your medicine. I have found huge leaps in improving my recovery and decreasing inflammation in my body from being on a low carb diet. It’s not for everyone and the acclimation period is hellish!! But the benefits I have received from recovery and better yet appetite suppression have been well worth the switch from the carbohydrate heavy diet I was consuming before. I still compete and train very intensely. So I have definitely implemented replenishing glycogen with carbohydrates at certain timeframe windows through out the week, in order to keep up with my heavy work load. I encourage you to look up “Cylindrical Ketogenic Diets” or even read the book “Carb Backloading” by John Kiefer. Doing that would give you a good idea of what I do.
Now to answer your question more directly. I also use fish oil, probiotics and glucosamine chondroitin with MSM. These will help with inflammation and improve joint health. The only other supplement I use is essential amino acids to improve recovery. Not BCAA’s which aren’t complete and many times useless.
I hope this helped!
